Take a bit off the table…

I am a commodity guy that plays in equities market. I don’t pretend to be an equity expert, and I don’t have a crystal ball, but I know that history has a funny way of repeating itself. The DOW and most of the indices are well in overbought territory with RSIs at or over 70 in most cases pointing to a coming sell off. For those fellow Millennials with long term investment needs, or folks that have a stronger appetite of risk it is OK to be patient if you are in it for the long haul, but for everyone else the end of 2014 and 2015 is going to be a choppy ride. Based on what we are seeing the commodity and equity markets things are going to shake a bit. As for me I am short the equity market, and long oil and precious metals.
With the Dow closing at 17,652 yesterday it may not be a bad time to take some of those profits off the table and enjoy the ride you got in 2014…
